Abstract
Communication within health care is dominated by clinical narratives. This includes clinical trial descriptions, doctors’ prescriptions, nursing notes, reports, personalized accounts of patients and scientific literature. Clinical narratives are a gold mine of information, that contain valuable insights for clinical decision making and hospital logistics management. In this talk, I shall be talking about our work in the area of clinical text analysis covering a wide range of document types along with the research challenges and applications.
