About the venue and the city

Due to its strategic position in Europe, Poland has always been regarded as the gateway to the East. Warsaw is host to thousands of foreign companies doing business in Poland and many international institutions coordinating economic and scientific cooperation between, on the one hand, the European Union and USA, and on the other, Central and Eastern European countries. This unique situation has created a high demand for well-qualified engineers fluent in English. The Warsaw University of Technology is the highest-ranked institution for advanced engineering education and research in Poland and one of the most prestigious academic institutions in Europe. The curricula and academic standards closely resemble those of many highly regarded U.S. universities.

Transport and accomodation

Warsaw is a major airline and railway transportation hub, with plentiful connections to Europe and the rest of the world. For airline connections, search for the Warsaw Chopin Airport (WAW). For railways (an option when traveling from Germany, Czech Republic, Austria, Hungary, Slovakia, and Lithuania), search for connections to any station in Warsaw.
